Handicap parking stalls have to be under 2% slope in any direction. When placing asphalt on a handicap stall that is not in compliance, the new overlay must go the full 18' by 9' of the stall, then taper out at a slope of 8.33%. If the stall requires asphalt at a depth of over 2 inches to get into compliance, the material needs to be compacted at 2" intervals.
